Bozena van den Heuvel

Art is my way of telling stories, evoking emotions, and revealing what often remains unseen. Through illustration, painting, and visual design, I combine professional experience with personal artistic sensitivity.
I graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts with a Master of Fine Arts degree in Graphic Design and Printmaking. For more than twenty years, I worked as a graphic designer, gaining extensive experience in visual communication and publishing. Today, my creative practice is focused primarily on painting and illustration.
My work is inspired by nature, people, music, and the world of imagination. I am particularly drawn to themes related to emotions, memory, human relationships, and inner experiences. I work with a variety of techniques, including watercolor, acrylics, drawing, and illustration, always seeking the most suitable form to express the essence of a story.
Since 2010, I have been a member of the Association of Polish Artists (ZPAP). Since 2018, I have been living in the Netherlands, where I actively participate in the local artistic and cultural community. I also lead art workshops incorporating elements of art therapy, believing that art can be not only a form of expression but also a space for personal growth, dialogue, and connection.
My works have been exhibited in solo and group exhibitions in Poland, the Netherlands, and Belgium. I collaborate on publishing projects as a children's book illustrator and author of artistic publications.
